Extracts of livers from diabetic rats contain normal amounts of the enzymes needed to convert 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid to nicotinic acid nucleotide. The decreased capacity of diabetic animals to synthesize nicotinic acid is therefore attributed to increased amounts of picolinic carboxylase, which competes for a common intermediate with the spontaneous reaction in which quinolinic acid is formed as a precursor of nicotinic acid. These studies were facilitated by the synthesis of 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid labeled with carbon-14 in positions 3 and 6
Aus der Mannichbase (I) bzw. ihrem Methojodid erhält man nach den üblichen Austauschreaktionen glatt das Nitril (II) oder die Substitutionsprodukte (IIIa)‐(IIId).
A non-polarizing beam splitter and a light color-mixing challenge were the topics of the design contest held in conjunction with the 2019 Optical Interference Coatings topical meeting of the Optical Society of America. A total of 10 designers from China, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States submitted over 70 designs for problems A and B. The design problems and the submitted solutions are described and evaluated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
