Abstract. The problem of wet wood ignition of particles in a hightemperature gas has been solved numerically in the framework of a quasifrontal model of evaporation. The basic characteristics of the ignition has been shown in the article. The influence of the different parameters on the ignition conditions has been shown in this work.
The characteristics and conditions of the ignition of coal-water fuel droplets (WCF) in a surface coating with a thin layer of water last film have been determined experimentally. A significant impact on the dynamics of the water layer of the thermal preparation and ignition of the fuel particles has been established. It has been shown that the time of evaporation of water of the surface layer can take up to 50% of all of the induction period. The latter indicates the need to consider the existence of the surface of the film during the process modeling of ignition of coal-water particles.
The results of experimental studies of various geometric shape wood biomass single particles ignition processes (on the example of a cylinder and a cube) are presented. According to the results of the experiments, it has been stated that the shape of the fuel particle can influence the characteristics and conditions of ignition, but it is insignificant. It has been demonstrated, that in most cases cylindrical particles ignite faster than cubic particles. However, in this respect, two ignition modes are set: high temperature (the cube fires up faster) and low temperature (the cylinder ignites faster).
Abstract. The problem of coal-water fuel ignition of particles in a high-temperature heating has been solved numericallyin the framework of a two-layer model of "coal-water". The basic characteristics of the integrated ignition has been shown. The influence of the vaporization process of the water film on the ignition conditions has been shown.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
