This paper describes a software design that can help system engineer remastering an Ubuntu Linux distribution. The software will be used to create recovery media for rural digital learning implementations in Indonesia. The remastering product contains preinstalled multimedia software for distance learning; furthermore, it is Live-CD Linux type and it can do unattended installation. This software offers customizable operating system configuration with wizard-type user interface design. Users can choose and pick a list of software that will be included in installation media from dropdown boxes and checkboxes. Remastering process will be executed by batch process and users can see its progress in a progress bar. In comparison with manual remastering by terminal command or using available software, this software has advantages that it provides simple and intuitive graphical user interface and the content is designed for digital learning in Indonesia.
