Necessity to mind a huge amount of factors while developing modern enterprises models dictates new requirements for modeling software, which needs to process all data to achieve precise results, make use of all possible means for that, such as distributed calculations and introduce original approaches where possible to avoid extra time waste for multiple simulation experiments. The article focuses on the software apparatus used in distributed multi-agent resource conversion processes based tool BPsim.MAS, pointing out its advantages and describing used technologies. Second part describes BPsim.MAS deployment in Urals Industrial Group, CJSC, which allowed income and market share growth. Various pricing strategies are discussed and active/passive competitors' behavior is considered.

AbstractThe mathematical model of resource conversion processes (RCP) is developed by the means of discrete-event simulation systems and expert systems. Within the framework of mathematical model RCP are defined: production system of the RCP structure and rules transformation structure, that taking into account conflicts origin. The discrete-event simulation system "BPsim" is developed on the basis of the RCP mathematical model.
In the article the development of a simulation model of cutting slabs in a continuous casting machine is considered. Simulation modeling is used to optimize the sequence of the melts supplied to the continuous casting machine. The goal of optimization is to reduce the deviation between the estimated and actual numbers of slabs, because such deviations can lead to missed deadlines. The model of cutting slabs has been designed with the use of a models creation module of the metallurgical enterprise information system. The models creation module supports the simulation model creation and multi agent simulation. Agents in the developed model are intended to describe the cutting slabs algorithm used by technologists in the metallurgical production. As a result of experiments with the model the following solution has been found. The following sequence of melts should be supplied to the continuous casting machine: initially the melts from the usual quality steel, followed the melts from the high quality steel.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
