O desenvolvimento, o uso e a difusão das energias renováveis estão no centro da linha de pesquisa conhecida como Transições Sustentáveis. Considerando a expansão das fontes renováveis nos países desenvolvidos, em especial o crescimento recente da fonte na matriz elétrica brasileira, o presente trabalho busca avaliar as principais linhas de pesquisas globais considerando a teoria das Transições Sustentáveis associadas a Fonte Solar Fotovoltaica por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica estruturada através da metodologia SYSMAP (Scientometric and sYStematic yielding MApping Process), composto por 5 fases, sendo elas: i) construção da coleção de artigos; ii) processo de filtragens; iii) análise bibliométrica, iv) análise de conteúdo e, v) construção de oportunidades/lacunas de pesquisa. Se buscará entender o estado da arte das pesquisas globais envolvendo as transições sócio-técnicas e a Energia Solar Fotovoltaica, apresentando oportunidades/lacunas de pesquisa nesta área.
