This study was conducted to determine the effect of the applying scientific approach based on environment for improving the cognitive abilities of the basic concepts of biology at STKIP NU Indramayu PGSD 2017/2018 academic year. Environment in this research means the utilizing of Karangsong beach. The low level of understanding of the concept of students and the use of Karangsong beach as a learning resource have not been optimally the background of this research. The research method used was a pre-experiment design with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. In this design, the sample is given a pretest and then given treatment and at the end of the learning activity is given a posture. The data for applying the scientific approach was taken by distributing questionnaires. The next step is processing test data and application questionnaires to determine their influence on students' cognitive abilities. From the results of the study, there was a significant (significant) effect of the application of the scientific approach based on environment for improving cognitive abilities of students with a significance value of 0.034
The Covid-19 pandemic in the industrial revolution 4.0 era transformed traditional learning into bold-based learning through distance learning (PJJ). However, its implementation still encounters several obstacles, such as the lack of digital literacy skills. One of the solutions offered is blended learning, which combines traditional learning with learning to complement each learning method's shortcomings. The purpose of this study is to prove whether or not blended learning affects increasing digital literacy and HOTS of PGSD students. The methodology used is experimental research with Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The sample in this study was 55 PGSD students. The instruments used are digital literacy questionnaire sheets and HOTS test sheets. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative, quantitative, and inferential statistics. Test Results Paired sample t-test produces sig values. (2-tailed) 0.000 is less than 0.05. It means that blended learning affects digital student literacy skills. The results of the n-gain test for increasing digital literacy after applying blended learning obtained n-gain of 0.56 in the medium category and the results of the student HOTS n-gain of 0.55 also in the medium category, so it can be said that there is an effect of blended learning on literacy improvement. Digital and student HOTS.
Most textbooks highlight the content of learning material rather than the application of the concept in life, so that only a few students are less aware of the importance of the concept of science to the scientific events or general phenomenon in daily life. There are still a few textbooks that associate the learning material with scientific events or phenomenon that occur in daily life. This research was conducted to develop the textbook of the basic science concepts contained ethnoscience. The formulation of the problem in this research is about how the characteristics and feasibility of the textbook of the basic science concepts contained ethnoscience for PGSD student. The research method used is the R&D research method. The research subjects were 22 STKIP NU Indramayu students who took basic science concept of lectures. The instruments used were expert validation sheets and questionnaires. The research plan begins with initial data collection, field studies, making the textbook of basic concepts contained ethnoscience, then proceed with expert validation by the validators using the developed expert validation instrument. After going through the revision of the validators regarding textbook, a trial of the textbook was developed for students by using a questionnaire to find out the user's response to the feasibility of the textbooks of basic science concepts contained ethnoscience. The results of expert validation are 94.5, and it's categorized very validly. Meanwhile, the results of user responses questionnaire are 81.60 with a very decent category.
This research was conducted to improve the understanding of the concept of PGSD students STKIP NU Indramayu by utilizing the Karangsong beach as a learning resource based on local wisdom. The research method used is mixed method research or sequential explanatory strategy, which is a strategy that is applied by collecting and analyzing quantitative data in the first stage. In this study, data collection and analysis increase understanding of the concept of living things and their environment after being treated, followed by collecting and analyzing qualitative data in the second stage, namely revealing obstacles and solutions to students in utilizing the Karangsong beach as a learning resource based on local wisdom. The research subjects were PGSD students at STKIP NU Indramayu who attended the basic concepts of biology in elementary school. The utilization of Karangsong beach as a learning resource based on local wisdom can improve students' understanding of concepts as evidenced by the acquisition of N-Gain values of 0.81 in the high category. As for the constraints and obstacles faced by students revealed through interviews. Based on the results of interviews, external factors are more than internal factors. The lack of application of the right learning model is one of the inhibiting factors in this study. This has caused learning goals cannot be achieved optimally
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
