Objetivo. Proponer un sistema de KPIs que permitan mejorar el seguimiento y control de proyectos de reparaciones navales. Materiales y métodos. Se empleó un diseño pre experimental, con enfoque cuantitativo. La población estuvo compuesta por los procesos del Astillero TASA, siendo la muestra los procesos correspondientes al área de operaciones. Las técnicas utilizadas fueron: encuesta, observación y análisis documentario. Los instrumentos empleados fueron: Registro de línea base de costos, Reporte de control de avance de proyecto, cuestionario, registro de capacitación y ficha de cronograma. Resultados. Se halló que los KPIs son muy influyentes ya que son una buena herramienta para el seguimiento y control de proyectos. teniendo en cuenta la ficha de cronograma de actividades, el reporte de control de avances y la línea base de costos de los 3 proyectos más recientes de TASA Astilleros, se determinaron las variables e indicadores que garanticen el constante seguimiento de ejecución de proyectos a partir de los lineamientos del PMI tal como lo son: valor ganado (EV), valor planeado (PV), varianza del costo (CV), varianza del cronograma (SV), índice del desempeño del costo (CPI) e índice del desempeño del cronograma (SPI). Por último, para identificar los problemas más constantes en relación a las actividades del proyecto se hizo uso de una encuesta y el reporte de control de avance de donde se sacaron las posibles causas del retraso del desarrollo de las actividades. Conclusiones. La propuesta del sistema de KPIs en el seguimiento y control de proyectos en un astillero resultó ser beneficioso logrando conocer el estado real del proyecto e identificando los problemas que surgen en el.
