Стрес ендоплазматичного ретикулума та ангіогенезЕндоплазматичний ретикулум (ЕР) -надзвичайно чутлива до змін гомеостазу внутрішньоклітинна органела, що проводить дуже точний контроль якості протеїнів, які проходять тут процес згортання і дозрівання перед переходом їх до апарату Гольджі, причому всі незгорнуті чи неправильно згорнуті протеїни затримуються й обов'язково знищуються. А тому реакція клітин на незгорнуті в ЕР протеїни є необхідною для збереження його функціональної цілісності і називається стресом ЕР. Цей стрес є фундаментальним явищем, що надійно захищає клітини від дії різноманітних чинників. Він забезпечує широкий спектр протікання різних фізіологічних процесів розвитку та метаболізму, особливо у деяких спеціалізованих клітинах з високим рівнем синтезу секреторних протеїнів, зокрема таких, як β-клітини, гепатоцити та остеобласти і є необхідним протягом усього життя. Стрес ЕР, як і гіпоксія -обов'язкові компоненти злоякісного росту, вони тісно взаємодіють і контролюють процеси росту та метаболізму, активуючи ангіогенез. Цей стрес опосередковується трьома сенсорно-сигнальними шляхами (PERK, ATF6 та ERN1), причому виключення функції одного з них (ERN1) призводить до зниження інтенсивності росту пухлин за допомогою пригнічення ангіогенезу та процесів проліферації. Аналізуються дані про взаємозв'язок функції сенсорно-сигнального ензиму ERN1 і експресії про-та антиангіогенних генів.
