Мета: визначення основної коморбідної патології у дітей із синдромом Дауна, обґрунтування заходів спостереження і реабілітації. Матеріали і методи. Наведено дані літератури, а також результати власного спостереження за 50 дітьми із синдромом Дауна віком від двох місяців до трьох з половиною років, які проходили реабілітаційні курси на базі БФ «Інститут раннього втручання для дітей з порушеннями розвитку та дітей інвалідів». Результати. У дітей із синдромом Дауна відзначається висока частота аномалій розвитку та патологічних станів, які впливають на функціональні можливості їх життєзабезпечуючих систем, що потребує проведення певних медико профілактичних і терапевтичних (у тому числі оперативних, медикаментозних) заходів. Основним завданням медичного супроводу такої дитини є своєчасна діагностика цих станів, їх корекція проводиться за тими самими принципами, що і у дітей без хромосомних порушень. Поєднання кількох патологічних станів, що є характерною особливістю цих дітей, ускладнює проведення реабілітаційних заходів. Не встановлено чітко визначених комбінацій патології та впливу різних комбінацій на результативність реабілітації, тому медичний супровід дітей із синдромом Дауна повинен мати індивідуальний характер і визначатися потребами конкретної дитини на певному етапі її розвитку. Висновки. Наявність коморбідних станів впливає на перебіг періоду дитинства та можливості медико психологічної реабілітації у дітей із синдромом Дауна. Медичний супровід таких дітей має велике значення, оскільки своєчасне виявлення патології з проведенням корекції визначає обсяг та ефективність індивідуальних реабілітаційних програм. Дослідження виконані відповідно до принципів Гельсінської Декларації. Протокол дослідження ухвалений Локальним етичним комітетом (ЛЕК) всіх зазначених у роботі установ. На проведення досліджень було отримано поінформовану згоду батьків дітей (або їхніх опікунів). Автори заявляють про відсутність конфлікту інтересів.
