This study examines the mediating role of service quality between customer relationship management (CRM) performance dimensions and the marketing performance of Jordanian hotels using resource-based view theory and contingency theory. A self-administered survey was conducted on 162 general managers of hotels in Jordan. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modelling. The findings of the study indicated that service quality mediated the relationship between the CRM performance dimensions (key customer focus, CRM knowledge management, CRM organization, and CRM-based technology) and the marketing performance of Jordanian hotels. This study provides significant contributions to theory and practice. From a theoretical perspective, this study fills in the literature gaps by providing insights about the mediating role of service quality in the relationship between customer relationship management performance dimensions and marketing performance. For managerial contributions, this study suggested that hotels can enhance their marketing performance by focusing on service quality and customer relationship management performance dimensions, especially the key customer focus dimension.
Glaucoma, a preventable condition, is the second leading reason behind blindness globally. The asymptomatic type of glaucoma is the most prevalent type, which explains the late presentation and diagnosis. The objective of the study has been developed to assess the levels of awareness about glaucoma among Jordanian people. This is a national study comprising of 511 subjects, aged 20 years and above. The participants were asked to fill the survey forms after signing the consent to the study. The results of the study revealed that 147 individuals (28.77%) were completely unaware of glaucoma, and 249 individuals (48.73%) had low level of knowledge about glaucoma. 77.5% of the subjects were either unaware or partial level of knowledge about the condition; however, they displayed an acceptable level of awareness. The outcomes among Jordanian people explained the delayed diagnosis of this blinding disease in the country. There is a need of proper educational strategies to educate Jordanian people about glaucoma.
Using Fama and French’s (2001) methodology, this paper attempts to shed light on dividend policy and propensity to pay cash dividends implemented by U.S. commercial banks as a possible alternative choice for dividend-seeking investors. The results show that most banks pay dividends at increasing rates, more banks have started paying dividends, while a few have stopped paying dividends. The findings also indicate that the main explanatory variables in predicting cash dividends are: the total assets, return on equity, and equity to liability ratio.
The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of Web Quality (WebQual) on travelers’ online behavioral intentions through examining the mediating role of travelers’ perceived trust in the context of travel agencies in Jordan. Based on the extant literature, a conceptual model was developed. Data was collected through a questionnaire survey which was administered to a convenient sample of 300 participants. Structural equation modeling SEM with smart PLS 3 was implemented as an analytical methodology to process data. The results suggest that WebQual factors are significant in predicting travelers’ behavioral intentions. Moreover, the results demonstrate that perceived trust has a significant impact on travelers’ behavioral intentions and a partial mediation was also found for travelers’ perceived trust on the relationship between WebQual and travelers’ behavioral intentions. Discussion, conclusions, research limitations and areas for future research are all provided.
