El presente estudio se trazó como objetivo valorar la inclusión de una tintura madre de ajo (Allium sativum) y orégano (Origanum vulgare) al 10% y 20% en el tratamiento de la coccidiosis y su repercusión sobre los parámetros productivos del pollo broiler. El trabajo de campo tuvo un tiempo de duración de 6 semanas. Se realizó en la Finca Experimental “La María”, de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo, Los Ríos, Ecuador. Se empleó un diseño completamente al azar (DCA), con cuatro tratamientos y seis repeticiones; cada unidad experimental conformada por cinco aves. Para establecer las diferencias entre medias de los tratamientos se utilizó la prueba de Tukey (P≤0.05). Se evaluaron las variables: ganancia de peso, consumo de alimento, índice de conversión alimenticia, rendimiento a la canal y la carga parasitaria a través del conteo de ooquistes de coccidias. Las tres primeras variables no se vieron afectadas significativamente (P>0.05); sí positivamente en el rendimiento a la canal (76,66 y 77,25%) en los tratamientos 3 y 4. El análisis coproparasitario se analizó por el método MacMáster (Adaptado de la metodología de Hamet, 1981), se tomaron muestras de heces fecales al inicio y final de la investigación; se registró una disminución significativa del número de ooquistes de coccidias por gramos (OPG) de heces en los tratamientos T3 y T4 al final de experimento.
