The purpose of this research was to investigate the perceptions of home and school concerning ideally implemented primary democracy and human rights education. In this qualitative study, data were collected from six voluntary classroom teachers and 16 parents in a selected school through interviews. The results of the interview yielded five major themes: physical and environmental issues, instructional process, teacher characteristics, assessment practices, and communication patterns for teaching democracy and human rights ideally. Most of the participants also indicated the lack of partnership between home and school. The results showed that there are gaps between the existing and desired conditions of democracy and human rights education in schools.

ÖzBu araştırmanın amacı Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım dersi Scratch ünitesinin öğretiminde ayrılıp birleşme tekniği kullanımının öğrencilerin derse yönelik tutumuna, erişiye ve başarının kalıcılığına etkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılı ikinci döneminde Manisa İli Turgutlu İlçesi Şadi Turgutlu Ortaokulu 6. sınıfında öğrenim görmekte olan 30 öğrenci deney grubunda ve 30 öğrenci de kontrol grubunda olmak üzere toplam 60 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kontrol grubunda dersler güncel öğretim programında belirtilen yöntem ve teknikler aracılığıyla, deney grubunda ise ayrılıp birleşme tekniği kullanılarak "Scratch ile Programlama" ünitesinde yedişer hafta süreyle işlenmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine derse yönelik tutum ölçeği ve geliştirilen erişi testi, ön test, son test ve kalıcılık testi olarak uygulanmıştır. Toplanan veriler SPSS 23.00 programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca programı öğretiminde ayrılıp birleşme tekniği ile öğretimi süresince, deney gruplarında yer alan öğrencilerin kullandıkları ayrılıp birleşme tekniği hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla çalışma sonrasında Şimşek (2007) tarafından geliştirilen 'Ayrılıp Birleşme Görüş Ölçeği' (ABGÖ) uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirlik katsayısı 0,70'dir. Kalıcılık başarı testindenelde edilen veriler uygulamadan yedi hafta sonra elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda, ayrılıp birleşme tekniği ile yapılan öğretimin, ilgili ünitedeki erişiyi, derse yönelik tutumu ve öğrenilen bilgilerin kalıcılığını olumlu yönde etkilediği; ayrıca öğrencilerin tekniğe ilişkin farklı olumlu görüşler taşıdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using Jigsaw technique on students' attitudes toward 6th grade ICT lesson, their academic achievement, and retention of knowledge. A pre-test, post-test quasi-experimental design was employed in the study. Sixty students (30 for each in experimental and control groups), who were attending to the Sadi Turgutlu Secondary School in Manisa county in Turgutlu 2015-2016 academic year. In the control group, the lessons were delivered by means of the methods indicated in the existing curriculum, while the experimental group received the lesson by Jigsaw technique in the 'Programming with Scratch' unit, each lasting for seven weeks. The experimental and control groups completedan attitude scale toward the lesson and researcher-made academic achievement test, as pre, post, and retention tests. They also were administeredthe same test to understand the retention of the knowledge.
