In this paper, we consider novel cooperative transmission from multiple base stations in multiuser wireless systems. The proposed scheme generates multiple beams using partial channel state information, enabling to achieve both beamforming and spatial multiplexing gain. With the use of twophase multiuser scheduling, it can also achieve multiuser diversity gain. The performance of the proposed scheme is analyzed and verified by computer simulation. Simulation results show the proposed scheme is quite effective as the spatial correlation and/or the number of users increase.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
