This analysis of women's experiences and stories contributes to an increased understanding of how to inform, through a gendered lens, educational initiatives and public health policies that seek to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS and de-stigmatize those living with the disease. I posed several questions, outlined in my methodology that sought to expose women's perceptions on the disproportionate spread of HIV/AIDS to women by having them discuss their experiences with sex education and HIV/AIDS knowledge acquisition.
