We report the development and the successful product launch of a new 3M Polarizing Beam Splitter, 3M PBS-A, which enables high performance optical engines for Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) projectors. This PBS-A has typical effective transmission of 94% of polarized light with a double pass contrast of around 1500:1. Recent developments in contrast performance, incident angle dependency, and thermal stability are reported.
The oblique BPM based on the Du-Fort Frankel method is presented. The paper demonstrates the accuracy and the computational improvements of the scheme compared to the oblique BPM based on Crank-Nicholson (CN) scheme.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
