Introdução: objetivou-se neste estudo, conhecer e discutir sobre o que têm sido publicado sobre as mulheres profissionais do sexo e os cuidados em enfermagem com essa população. Metodologia: estudo bibliográfico, de natureza teórico-reflexivo, cuja fundamentação baseia-se na formulação discursiva acerca da temática. Resultados e Discussões: uma das principais razões pela procura da profissão é a pobreza e por sofrerem abuso, sendo algo comum para grande parte destas mulheres. Em 1980 deu-se início a movimentos cujo objetivo era promover maior envolvimento político e fortalecimento da identidade profissional da categoria, visando o exercício pleno da cidadania, melhora na qualidade de vida e respeito na sociedade. Conclusão: conclui-se que se faz necessário realizar educação em saúde com equipes da área de saúde. Visto que, muitos profissionais não estão preparados para abordar e acolher essa população.
O principal objetivo deste estudo é ampliar o conhecimento sobre Diabetes Gestacional, assim como o papel do cuidado de enfermagem frente a mesma, enfatizando a importância do pré-natal, promoção e prevenção da saúde. Trata-se de um estudo bibliográfico consultado em materiais científicos, disponíveis na Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde, nas bases Scielo e Lilacs. Durante o período gestacional o corpo da mulher passa por diversas alterações hormonais, que podem ocasionar o aumento de glicemia, podendo causar complicações ao sistema renal e sistêmico. As complicações fetais e neonatais são decorrentes dos níveis glicêmicos descompensados, que podem desencadear aborto espontâneo, malformações congênitas e macrossomia. Conclui-se que a Atenção Primária possui grande responsabilidade, visto que é a porta de entrada do sistema de saúde. Portanto, é dever do profissional, da gestante e acompanhante realizar o pré-natal, para então identificar fatores de risco, garantindo uma gestação segura e com todo apoio e acolhimento necessário.
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo compreender o tratamento às gestantes, o manejo do parto e o período do puerpério em mulheres soropositivas sobre o olhar do profissional da saúde. O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica onde foram analisados 13 artigos utilizando as bases de dados Lilacs e PubMed tendo sido excluídos 6 por não enfocarem o Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana na gestação, parto e período puerperal, 2 manuais técnicos do Ministério da Saúde, contando também com 1 artigo de periódicos da Universidade Federal do Amapá e 1 artigo de periódicos da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Quando a Síndrome da imunodeficiência Humana foi descoberta na década de 1980, acreditava-se tratar de uma doença restrita a apenas alguns grupos sociais. Com o passar do tempo, descobriu-se por meio da ciência que poderia infectar qualquer ser humano, independente da raça, cor, idade e do sexo que pratiquem. Mostra-se a importância de uma equipe preparada para atender as demandas de mães com sorologia positiva, a tomada de decisão na hora do parto e o manejo do cuidado para com elas durante o período do parto e período puerperal.
