O audiovisual contemporâneo – principalmente o que circula em plataformas de vídeo na web – exige olhar para além das narrativas, à medida em que se insere em ambientes mediados por softwares, tornando-se ao mesmo tempo produto e produtor de bancos de dados geridos por algoritmos. Pretendemos neste artigo, compreender como os bancos de dados e os algoritmos se constituem formas culturais e de que maneira impactam particularmente o modo em que o audiovisual da Netflix se enuncia. Para isso, articulamos a metodologia das molduras (KILPP, 2003) e os pressupostos de autores que abordam as mídias na perspectiva tecnocultural – como McLuhan (1993), Manovich (2006, 2015), Flusser (2007) e Chun (2005).
