The potential of B2O3-Al2O3-supported bimetallic Pt-Pd catalysts for aromatic hydrogenation of distillate was investigated. The activity measurements were carried out with hydrotreated light cycle oil (LCO)/straight-run light gas oil (SRLGO) feed containing 33vol% aromatics and 320 ppm sulfur under practical conditions. As a result, it appeared that Pt-Pd/B2O3-Al2O3 catalysts have much higher activity for aromatic hydrogenation as compared to Pt-Pd/Al2O3 catalysts.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
