Extreme weather events and natural disasters have occurred worldwide due to global warming, underscoring the urgent necessity of climate change mitigation (IPCC, 2014, 2018, 2021). Nellemann et al. (2009 have shown that much of the Earth's carbon is captured and stored naturally as "blue carbon" in oceanic and coastal ecosystems, with vegetated habitats, such as mangroves and submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV), accounting for more than 50% of all carbon storage in ocean sediment. Previous studies have shown that SAV enhances the stratification

We have investigated the generation of spherical carbon particles, using the columnar type plasmas excited vertically at the pressure of 1×10-1 Pa composed of CH 4 Ar mixed gas. It is found that the spherical carbon particles of micrometer sizes grow in the plasma sheath only when Si(100) substrate temperature and contents of CH 4 are near 1066 K and near 18, respectively. The result of high resolution SEM and high resolution TEM observations strongly suggest the growth of elementary particles of ca. 10 nm which including carbon onions of ca. 2 4 nm in the plasma.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
