The additional use of AVGs during CR sessions is feasible, safe, and significantly improved daily PA and EE. A dropout reduction trend among its users, which needs to be confirmed in a larger trial, raises awareness to AVG supplementation as a promising strategy to increase CR adherence.
had improved significantly post-operatively. There were significant differences in the patients-partners PCS scores pre-and post-operatively, although the gap had narrowed post-operatively. There were no significant differences in the patients-partners MCS scores pre-or post-operatively.Conclusion: Patients' physical health had improved significantly post-operatively. The patients and partners had similar levels of perceived mental health before and 4 months after CABG. The MCS scores were below the population average. Despite improvement, there remained some impairment in the partners' emotional, physical and social health (QL-SP) 4 months after surgery. Whether the partners' mental health and quality of life were explicitly linked to the patient's mental health status and experience of CABG is not entirely clear and warrants further investigation.
