El valor de este trabajo radica en el hecho de que proporciona un análisis comparativo entre las normas ISO 9000:2000 y las normas de sostenibilidad de Costa Rica CST. Su objetivo es obtener las diferencias y similitudes entre ambos sistemas de certifi cación, a partir de su comparación y del análisis de su contribución a la gestión empresarial y la sostenibilidad. El análisis destaca que los deben realizarse cambios organizativos en la empresa para lograr la efi ciencia y garantizar la satisfacción del cliente. Desde la carrera de Administración y Gestión de Recursos Humanos y para los cursos Análisis Administrativo y Clasificación de Puestos, a partir de la estrategia pedagógica del aprendizaje basado en tareas auténticas, se presenta a los estudiantes el “Reto 1”, donde se sitúan cuatro productos de aprendizaje en el quehacer del profesional de recursos humanos de hoy. Para ello, convergen los conocimientos teóricos de los cursos, se promueve el intercambio de habilidades técnicas y blandas del estudiantado, se fortalece el trabajo colaborativo de las comunidades de aprendientes desde la planeación y organización de diversos recursos, el estudiante asume un rol activo y participativo donde se apropia de su aprendizaje. Desde la academia se alcanza el propósito de aproximar al estudiante a las demandas de un departamento de recursos humanos en respuesta a necesidades, desafíos y exigencias en un entorno actual.
Este artículo trata la relación entre la Certificación de Sostenibilidad Turistica (CST) en Costa Rica, el cual ha implantado un sistema de gestión basado en el estándar CST y la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE). La valoraciónpermitirá encontrar diferencias o similitudes entre la CST y la RSE, con el fin de ver cómo estas favorecen la gestión empresarial y la sostenibilidad, poniendo de manifiesto los principales cambios organizativos que se deben implementar en la institución o empresa, para lograr un resultado eficaz y un mejor servicio al cliente.
