O o b j e t i v o d e s t e t r a b a l h o f o i a v a l i a r a p r o d u ç ã o e a d a p t a b i l i d a d e d e c i n c o a c e s s o s d e A. pintoi (BRA 031496, BRA 015121, BRA 013251, BRA 030333 e BRA 022683) e um acesso de A. repens (BRA 031801), visando fomentar estudos para o estabelecimento de cultivares mais produtivas em pastagens da região Sul de Minas Gerais. Os estudos se deram em dois momentos, sendo, o primeiro com a realização do experimento em bandejas para análise da taxa de pegamento dos acessos em casa de vegetação e, o segundo, com a experimentação realizada em vasos, onde cada acesso foi analisado quanto a sobrevivência das mudas, número e comprimento médio de estolões, produção de matéria seca da parte aérea e radicular e taxa de sobrevivência. O acesso de A. pintoi BRA 031496 apresentou os maiores índices de taxa de pegamento em bandejas (70%) e produção de matéria seca da parte aérea (21,1g) e radicular (7,0g), além de boa perfilhação, acompanhada de uma considerável taxa de crescimento dos estolões. Já o acesso de A. repens BRA 031801 apresentou os menores resultados de taxa de pegamento em bandeja (33,33%), comprimento médio dos estolões aos 45 e 90 dias após o plantio (15,6cm e 16,7cm respectivamente) e produção de matéria seca da parte aérea (10,7g) e radicular (4,7g). Após o enraizamento das mudas em bandejas de isopor todos os acessos promoveram 100% de sobrevivência em vasos.
