Success in recruitment and retention, while good for the case manager and the employer, also serves another important objective: it ensures that competent, high-performing case managers are available in the care setting to serve clients (the individuals receiving case management services). The more qualifi ed and skilled case managers are (and preferably board certifi ed), the better they can provide access to the right care and treatment at the right time, in support of goals set with the client and his or her support system.
