Introducción: El nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes de enfermería sobre las medidas preventivas de COVID-19 puede influenciar en la forma que realizan sus prácticas. El objetivo es determinar la relación entre conocimiento y prácticas en medidas preventivas de COVID-19 en estudiantes de enfermería de una universidad privada. Materiales y Métodos: Investigación tipo aplicada, diseño transversal, observacional. La población fue de 136 estudiantes de enfermería, de los cuales aplicando los criterios de selección y la fórmula para poblaciones finitas redujo la muestra a 101 estudiantes de la Universidad Científica del Sur. El muestreo fue probabilístico, aleatorio simple. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó el software SPSS STATISTICS 26, medidas de tendencia central y el análisis bivariado a través de la prueba exacta de Fisher considerando un valor de significancia p<0.05. Se utilizó un instrumento que mide ambas variables, la primera consta de 3 dimensiones: generalidades, formas de trasmisión y medidas preventivas, la segunda de 2 dimensiones: prácticas de protección personal y prácticas de control ambiental, de selección en escala Likert. El instrumento fue validado en agosto del 2021, se ejecutó en un estudio en Tacna con una confiabilidad de 0.868 y una validez de 89.6%. Resultados: La media de edad fue de 24,4 con prevalencia del sexo femenino (89,1%), de 2do año académico (43,6%). Nivel de conocimiento suficiente (87,1%) y practicas adecuadas (81,2%), con un valor de p=0,403. Conclusión: No se encuentra relación significativa entre conocimiento y prácticas en medidas preventivas de COVID-19.
