The subject of this paper is the recently developed 2.45 GHz microwave micro torch, which produces a surface wave discharge operating at low power of 25 W. Microwave plasma is generated using surfatron resonator in pure argon and argon with admixtures (up to 1.7%) of nitrogen and oxygen at the gas flow rate of 3 Slm. Two different configurations are used-a standard one and one with an additional metallic plate at the surfatron resonator end limiting the surface wave propagation along the plasma. Plasma parameters like temperatures (rotational, vibrational, electron) along the plasma torch axis as well as distribution of selected active particles are determined. The numeric simulation of the discharge and its properties are included, too. Finally, surface temperature of the fresh pork skin affected by the active particles flow is determined using thermo camera images. The obtained results show applicability of this system for the surface treatment of biological objects and possibility to modify the torch conditions by molecular gases additions.
The authors reflect on the motivation of adolescents to attend secondary vocational schools. For adolescents, this step represents one of the fundamental career decisions. The intrinsic motivation of applicants to study is often interest in the field, employment, or financial reward. Other motivating factors for studying are the transport accessibility of the school and the difficulty of the admission procedure. Aspiring secondary school students are also motivated by the prestige of the school that offers them an educational programme. In addition to the well-known promotions, adolescents can also attend extracurricular activities (hobbies) organised in secondary vocational schools. The authors make their statements based on the opinions of primary school teachers and secondary school students who evaluate their motivation for education in their field of study. At the end of the paper, the authors evaluate and discuss the originality of the possible promotion of secondary vocational education.
The paper focuses on the preparation of a secondary school teacher for a teaching unit, both the methodological and the content part of the preparation. Detailed attention is paid to the individual parts of the methodological preparation of teachers of vocational subjects because the preparation is often underestimated in practice. It is necessary to emphasize that the acquisition of students' competences during education depends in each subject on the way in which the content of the curriculum is conveyed to the students and what kind of tools the teacher uses for this purpose. This includes not only the formulation of educational and educational objectives but also the choice of the appropriate structure of the teaching unit, the choice of teaching methods, the use of relevant aids, special classrooms, etc. The general concept of teacher preparation for a teaching unit is linked by the authors with real examples from pedagogical practice.
Introduction: This research study deals with the necessity of educating the members of the Police of the Czech Republic in the area of a social-pathological phenomenon, specifically domestic violence. In most cases, police officers are on the scene of an incident as the first ones. It is a socio-pathological phenomenon, which requires a very sensitive but at the same time a professional approach from the police officers.Purpose: The main objective of the research was to find out what the views of the coordinators at selected Regional Directorates of the Police of the Czech Republic dealing with the cases of domestic violence are. Methods: For the purposes of the research, the qualitative method of structured interviews with open questions was used. The respondents were the coordinators from five regions of the Czech Republic. Conclusions: It can be concluded that great attention has been paid to the issues of domestic violence in the Czech Republic since 1996, which has brought positive results in dealing with real cases by the members of the Police of the Czech Republic. However, each case with the features of domestic violence is different and for this reason it is not possible to describe the whole range of possibilities in the preparation. These problems are only a part of many different incidents the police have to deal with. This fact is taken into account in the proposal for the continuous education of police officers at the departments of the Police of the Czech Republic.
The article discusses domestic violence as dangerous, unlawful and violent conduct, which currently threatens a generation of seniors. The author stresses the need for primary prevention of domestic violence in the context of the education of seniors, at the University of the Third Age. In the text we present the content focus of preventative lectures to the target group of seniors. In connection with the content of primary prevention is highlighted to the opportunity to help the victims of domestic violence through the association for assistance to victims of crime „Bílý kruh bezpečí“. On the basis of the exploratory investigation, in the text there where presented the views at the seniors on the issue of the domestic violence.
The new career charter of the teaching profession in the Czech Republic will be implemented from September 2017. The paper describes the portfolio as a tool for professional and personal growth of the teacher, but also as a source for the evaluation of teaching work. The authors point out possible risks in the processing of the portfolio. The features and goals of the portfolio are further characterized in the text. The authors present the individual phases of the portfolio and describe how it is possible to work with the material included in the portfolio. Systematically arranged material in the portfolio should help the teacher to better present his work. The teacher will be able to return back to his / her present activities in his / her portfolio. The portfolio should not only be about the knowledge and skills, but also the developing attitudes of the teacher. An example of pedagogical practice is the possibility of presenting the teacher's work. This is mainly about the inclusion of examples of typological or extraordinary practices in the portfolio.
