Business units meet many dynamic and unexpected changes occurring in their surrounding. They want to be competitive and that is why they must deal with uncertainty and risk. Digital revolution is present in all societies. Changes caused by usage of new technologies based on ICT technologies and Internet change the business. Nowadays enterprises must adjust to new determinants and to introduce digital technologies into their management processes, controlling systems. Companies now require fast and accurate information.Big Data technology brings to modern companies many technological opportunities. Big Data allows the creation of new business models, proper analysis of customer behavior, facilitates risk and financial management of the company, optimizes processes occurring inside the enterprise and increases the efficiency of IT systems operating in controlling of business unit. The aim of the paper is to present some theoretical issues connected with the use of Big Data technology in businesses, especially within systems of controlling ("Controlling" in the meaning used by German speaking scientists). Digital revolution with usage of social media in business activity or Big Data technology changed the controlling systems, because now controllers must deal with such huge datasets to improve their businesses. With usage of Big Data technology, despite some challenges occurred, modern enterprises can deal with success with such large volume of data (not only financial, but now also non-financial) in order to proper better forecasts and decisions. There are presented some issues connected with usage of Big Data technology in controlling systems of companies.
The functioning of enterprises undergoes continuous processes along with changes taking place in the environment. Such processes, like the globalization of economy, taking into consideration the issues of CSR, competitiveness and development of information technologies are increasingly affecting business units. Electronic media are present in almost all societies. New technologies have contributed significantly to the so-called new quality in enterprise's management. Continuous and dynamic digital changes lead to the transformation of mutual relations between companies. It can be said that this is the new stage in the globalization process. Such dynamic development of information and communication technologies (ICT), noticeable in the last few years, has significantly influenced the functioning of modern organizations operating in the global economy. The usage of new social media has increased in the last few years, with most of the population. The importance of such technology-enabled networks, as well as of the data they can generate, is obvious also at the financial level, with the entrance of social media owners in the share market. Empirical research of both social media and Big Data for management is rather still at the beginning stage. However, it is observed that new technologies have already changed management system in companies. Companies require now fast and accurate information. The relevant information is essential for efficient and effective management of companies. The aim of the paper is to present the role of the information and IT system in the enterprise's management. There are presented the most important ideas of the information system. Integrated IT systems and their impact on the running business organisation in the global market are also presented in the paper.
The procedures for measuring dissociation constants (pK(a)) of twenty 1-substituted pyrrolidin-2-one derivatives are described. The dissociation constants of the compounds tested were determined using potentiometric titration, reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography (RP-TLC) and calculated using Pallas and Marvin programs. It was found that the RP-TLC method of determination of pK(a) could be considered as a feasible alternative to potentiometric titration. The Marvin program is a better tool for preliminary estimation of dissociation constant than the Pallas one.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
