RESUMOO agente comunitário de saúde inserido em Unidades Básicas de Saúde integra ESF, desenvolvendo ações descritas pelo MS. Este trabalho tem objetivo conhecer aspectos de valorização profissional, contribuindo na consolidação do SUS. Trata-se de uma pesquisa básica, descritiva, qualitativa, utilizado um questionário semiestruturado. Dados coletados nas questões abertas foram avaliados utilizando técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, sendo uma proposta de organização e tabulação de dados qualitativos de natureza verbal, obtidos de depoimentos. Resultados apontam modificação, relacionados à elevação de escolaridade não residir na micro área onde atua. O ACS reconhece a importância de seu papel, mas aponta problemas relacionados às atividades em equipe ao apoio necessário dos gestores. As condições de risco relacionados a atividade laboral dos ACS compromete a qualidade de vida deste, gerando sentimentos de insatisfação, desvalorização, despreparo refletindo na práxis profissional, ficando vulneráveis doenças e desmotivação.
