Segundo o Manual Diagnóstico e Estatístico de Transtornos
Mentais (DSM-5), o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) faz parte do
grupo de transtornos do neurodesenvolvimento que se manifesta ainda
na infância e apresenta como características déficits no
desenvolvimento, persistentes tanto na comunicação quanto na
interação social e, além disso, apresentam padrões restritivos e
repetitivos de comportamento, interesses ou atividades, que trazem
prejuízos sociais, pessoais e profissionais para o indivíduo
(AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION, 2014;
OLIVEIRA; SERTIÉ, 2017).
Objetivo: Identificar as mudanças ocorridas no desempenho ocupacional de cuidadores de crianças com transtorno do espectro autista (TEA), e apresentar contribuições da Terapia Ocupacional para melhoria da qualidade de vida, diante das possíveis alterações. Métodos: Levantamento bibliográfico, de abordagem quanti-qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória da literatura brasileira afim de oportunizar informações sobre o desempenho ocupacional de cuidadores de crianças com TEA. Resultados: Identificou-se que ocorrem mudanças no desempenho ocupacional dos cuidadores, principalmente mudanças: físicas relacionadas a fadiga, dor, desconforto, sono, repouso e atividades físicas, psicólogicas, quanto a auto aceitação, capacidade de concentração, pensamentos e crenças pessoais e alterações na qualidade de vida. Para embasar a discussão desenvolveu-se três categorias de análise: Perfil dos cuidadores; Impacto do cuidar e o desempenho ocupacional do cuidador; Intervenção do terapeuta ocupacional. Considerações finais: os estudos identificaram que os cuidadores de crianças com TEA sofrem impactos no seu desempenho ocupacional, repercurtindo em seus aspectos físicos, psicológicos e sociais, podendo estes serem reduzidos através de intervenções e terapias direcionadas, dentre elas a terapia ocupacional.
Hodiernamente, a realidade da prática dos profissionais da
Terapia Ocupacional, depara-se com o crescimento exponencial no
número de diagnósticos e hipóteses diagnósticas de crianças com
Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). O TEA é caracterizado pela
alteração das funções do neurodesenvolvimento do indivíduo, que interfere na capacidade de comunicação, linguagem, interação social e comportamento (BRASIL, 2022).
Em tempos de COVID-19, o distanciamento social é essencial para evitar a propagação do vírus e manter a população protegida, porém, isto acarreta grandes mudanças nas rotinas dos indivíduos de maneira geral. Entre estes, estão as crianças e adolescentes com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA), que podem estar sujeitas a maiores impactos devido apresentarem resistência a mudanças devido os padrões de comportamentos restritos. Diante disso, busca-se analisar os impactos do distanciamento social na rotina diária de crianças e adolescentes com TEA. Trata-se de uma pesquisa transversal de abordagem quantitativa, realizada através do Formulário Google, criado pelos autores e composto por 37 perguntas, respondido pelos responsáveis de crianças e adolescentes com TEA. A maioria das crianças estavam na primeira infância com grau leve na classificação do Transtorno; observou-se aumento nos problemas de comportamento, surgimento de problemas alimentares; a maioria das crianças sentem falta da escola e estão realizando atividades alternativas; houve, também, aumento na dificuldade em aceitar atividades fora do ambiente escolar; os responsáveis tiveram maior participação no lazer. Constatou-se a repercussão negativa ocasionada pelo distanciamento social concomitante a descontinuidade do tratamento especializado das crianças e adolescentes com TEA; que desencadearam ou intensificaram os comportamentos disruptivos.
Objetivo: Demonstrar o desenvolvimento de um aplicativo sobre detecção precoce do autismo à luz das Diretrizes para Atenção à Reabilitação do Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA), descritas pelo Ministério da Saúde, para dar subsídios ao ensino de acadêmicos e profissionais de saúde e suas práticas educativas. Métodos: O aplicativo foi desenvolvido por meio de um trabalho interdisciplinar entre um terapeuta ocupacional, que forneceu o referencial teórico para o desenvolvimento do aplicativo, e um profissional da área de processamento de dados que programou o software.O sistema foi desenvolvido utilizando a ferramenta App Inventor. Resultados: O aplicativo foi construido com sucesso. Um aplicativo que permite receber, armazenar e analisar dados referentes aos indicadores precoces do autismo. Todos os sinais de alerta para o TEA foram organizados por faixa etária de zero a seis meses, seis a 12 meses, 12 a 18 meses, 18 a 24 meses e 24 a 36 meses. Para cada faixa etária foram descritos um conjunto de comportamentos. Conclusão: O aplicativo atua como instrumento de apoio no ensino em detecção precoce do autismo. Sua utilização possibilita a agilidade nos processos de tomada de decisão, no âmbito do ensino e dos serviços de saúde.
