The path loss measurements and modeling in durian orchard for wireless network at 5.8 GHz are presented. The path loss model is important to predict and design the wireless communication system in the durian orchard. The transmitter is set up near the bole of a durian tree and received the signal strength by spectrum analyzer. The communication channel is connected between the communication nodes. From the measurement results, it is observed that the path loss along the distance of 128 meters from the transmitter is less than -50 dB. The dual-slope modeling is employed to represent the path loss propagation in the durian orchard at 5.8 GHz.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
