This article studies pricing strategies of the dual-channel recycling supply chain where the manufacturer and the recycler compete on price in recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and cooperate in disposing of them. This article is based on whether the recycler can refurbish and distinguish two different treatment methods of WEEE: refurbishment by the recycler and remanufacturing by the manufacturer. Two dual-channel recycling structures are proposed: (1) the recycler cannot refurbish when the manufacturer remanufactures; (2) the recycler can refurbish when the manufacturer remanufactures. By solving two Stackelberg game models, we derive pricing strategies. The impacts of recycled products’ quality and base profit for remanufacturing and refurbishing on pricing strategies are discussed. We find that the recycler prefers refurbishing when its base profit for refurbishment is greater than the manufacturer’s base profit for remanufacturing, rather than the transfer price. Interestingly, the recycler’s refurbishment does not reduce the manufacturer’s profits but creates a win-win situation through their cooperation. Furthermore, the better quality of recycled products and the higher base profit for refurbishing and remanufacturing can bring more profit to the recycler and the manufacturer, increase the recycling prices, improve the efficiency of resource utilization, and reduce environmental pollution.
Green development of mining requires the requirements of healthy and sustainable development, the development of green mining and the construction of green mines are important directions for the reform and development of the mineral resources management system. This article conducts data mining and exploration analysis of high-quality literature (core, CSSCI retrieval) on the theme of green mining included in CNKI from 1999 to 2019. the result shows that: according to the search criteria, we retrieved a total of 190 articles, since 2003, the number of documents on the topics of green mining has risen sharply, we found that the role of policy in promoting academic research is obvious. China University of Mining and Technology is the most published institution, studies from universities, institutions, and social groups have different research focuses on green mining. In the whole cycle of green mining construction, green exploitation and green mines construction play a vital role.
Internet + platform recycling is a new model of recycling that provides more ways to recycle WEEE. Considering consumers’ preference for channels, we construct a single-channel reverse supply chain model (Model-S) and two dual-channel reverse supply chain models (Model-DU and Model-DD) consisting of a recycler and an e-platform and consider the unified pricing and differentiated pricing strategies in the dual-channel models. By solving the optimal decisions of members using game theory, we innovatively investigate the influence of channel competition and consumer behavior on e-platform recycling and provide a theoretical basis for recyclers to develop pricing strategies in different situations. We find that it is beneficial for the recycler to build its own channel and adopt the differentiated price strategy (Model-DD); more WEEE also can be recycled in this model. However, the e-platform prefers Model-S or Model-DU, which depends on the consumers’ preference and the disposal revenue of WEEE. In addition, consumers’ preference for e-platform is good for them but harmful for the recycler and has a negative impact on recycling quantities. These results aim to provide a theoretical basis for channel management and pricing strategies in the reverse supply chain and further enrich the managerial insights.
