Process writing a review in systematic manner, by framing an Aim and Objective, having an inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. Literature search is done both in the electronic and manually. Total number of journal which focus on the our aim is selected, the results and methodology is systematically evaluated META analysis is done and separate statistics is applied. Conclusion is given based on the various findings. Systematic review is the evidence based dentistry.
Implants are wonderful treatment option for auricular defects as it provides a retentive auricular prosthesis. Auricular defects can be rehabilitated by autogenous and prosthodontic methods. Implants provide retention of auricular prosthesis by bar and clip method and magnets. Implant used in craniofacial region differs from the one which is used in the oral cavity. The implants are shorter with flange on the top, which is a unique feature for implants used in craniofacial region. The major challenge in placing the implant is the proximity of various anatomical structures. The implants should be placed 20 mm distance to the center of the external auditory meatus in 8 and 11 o'clock positions for right side of the face and the 1 and 4 o'clock position for left side. Two implants with distance of 15 mm will be sufficient to satisfy the biomechanics. Proper planning and use of implants with retentive aids like magnet, bar, and clip will provide a satisfactory prosthesis.
Aim:A technique to reproduce the exact natural anatomy of the palatal surface, known as "anatomical contour" in even thickness onto the maxillary permanent denture base.
Background:In constructing oral prostheses, dentists are primarily concerned with replacing structural losses. However, we are necessarily adding to regions having no structural loss, e.g., the hard palate region. When these structures are covered by a denture, the proprioceptive feedback mechanism is changed and, naturally, dentures affect phonetics, which causes a temporary change in the articulation of speech sounds.Technique: A metal ring plate in standardized different thicknesses (1.5, 2, and 2.5 mm), which adapt to dental flask lower base, is made and used in the routine fabrication method of denture base processing.
Conclusion:The quick and easy methods of replicated entire individualized natural anatomical palatal contour, in various even thicknesses in the permanent maxillary denture base, including the incisive papilla, palatine suture, and palatal rugae, can be employed to newly fabricate maxillary complete dentures.Clinical significance: This is a comprehensive approach to utilize the collective factors of suggested methods, techniques, and conclusion by various authors for speech improvement with maxillary denture.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
