in Neuwied a. Rh. Erkrankung Ende Januar 1926 mit Beschwerden in den Füßen beim Stehen und Gehen; vorwiegend betroffen die Grundgelenke der Zehen, Außenkante des 5. Metatarsale und Ferse. Geringgradige empfindliche örtliche Weichteilschwellung. Nach 3 Tagen 2-5 mm große und größere Unterhautblutungen an Unterschenkeln und Fußrücken in Menge. Zunahme der kleinen Blutungen bei kurzem Stehen. -Therapie (einschließlich Salizyl, Atophan, Afenil, Fremd-und Eigenserum) wirkungslos. -Aufgefallen war im Laufe des vorausgegangenen Jahres eine eben wahrnehmbare, zunehmende Ermüdbarkeit, Schwere und Ruhebedürfnis ohne irgendwelche nachweisbare klinische Ursache. Keine Arbeitsunterbrechung. Nach Erscheinen der Blufflecken vielwöchige Bettruhe. Zeitweilig leichte Verdickung und Steifigkeit einzelne Fingergclenke. Zunahme der Blutungen nach warmem Bad. Rückgang dieser Erscheinungen nach etwa 3 Tagen. Wiederkehr nach jeder Belastung. Bei Blutentnahme aus der Kubitalvene Blutflecke unterhalb der Stanbinde, beim Aufstützen auf den Ellenbogen beim Lesen im Bett gleiche Flecke am Ellenbogen. Niemals Schleimhautblutungen. Familienanamnese hinsichtlich Hämophilie und sonstiger
Typhusdauerausscheider im Nahrungsmittelverkehr. Von Med.-Rat k. Tiling, Kreisarzt in Neuwied. Das Thema ist oft erörtert worden ; eine Klärung fehlt bisher. Aufschub aber wäre vom Uebel, nachdem mehrere ältere und zahlreiche neue Epidemien von Typhus und Paratyphus durch Milch u. a. den Blick immer wieder auf die Gefahren gelenkt haben.
