8.Ober das Inertialsystem der Stellarastronomie und zur Frage nach der Verbesserung der Prazessionskonstante. Von K. Pidowski.[Mit I Tafel.] U be r s ic h t. Es ist in letzter Zeit die Frage aufgeworfer worden, ob die Newcombsche oder die Struve-Peferssche Prazessionskonstante die bessere sei. Die folgenden Untersuchungen sind mit dem Ziele ausgefuhrt, zu einer KlHrung dieser Frage zu kommen und insbesondere zu untersuchen, ob uberhaupt eine stellarstatistische Verbesserung der geradc im Gebrauch befindlichen Prazessionskonstante notwendig bzw. zweckmaI3ig ist. Wir haben zur Bearbeitung dieser Fragen alles das zusammenzustellen, was in dieser Hinsicht wcsentlich ist. Wir werden sehen, daI3 durch eine Reihe von bisher erschienenen Untersuchungen eine eindeutige Stellungnahme gegeben ist. In diesem Zusammenhang wird uns auch die fur die Stellarastronomie so wichtige Frage nach einem einwandfreien Bezugssystem fur die Stellardynamik beschaftigen, nach dem ahertialsystem der Stellarastronomiecc. Es wird sich zeigcn, daI3 es notwendig ist, grundsatzlich zwischen einem Inertialsystem der Stellarastronomie und cincm Inertialsystem der Planetenastronomie zu unterscheiden, wenn w i r ein I n e r t i a l s y s t e m so d e f i n i e r e n , wie e s iius d e n B e o b a c h t u n g e n r e a l i s i e r t w e r d e n k a n n .Die prinzipielle KlLrung dessen, was wir in der Astronomie unter cinem Inertialsystem zu verstehen haben, haben wir Anding und SeeZiger zu verdanken. Wegen ihrer Wichtigkcit und um die Definition eines Inertialsystems zur Verfiigung zu haben, gehen wir nach einem einleitenden Abschnitt I in Abschnitt 2 auf die Ausfuhrungen Andings und SeeZigers ausfuhrlich ein. Im Abschnitt 3 stellen wir dar, wie das Inertialsystem der Stellarastronomie zu bestimmen ist, bzw. inwieweit es iiberhaupt realisiert werden kann. Die Moglichkeit der Festlegung dieses Inertialsystems hangt eng mit einer dynamischen Theorie des Sternsystems zusammen. Daher beschaftigen wir uns im Abschnitt 4 mit der Theorie der galaktischen Rotation von LindbZad und Oort, die bisher in umfassendster Weise die beobachteten Erscheinungen zu erklaren sucht. Auf Grund der Ausfuhrungen der Abschnitte 2 und 3 kommen wir in Abschnitt 5 zu einer Kritik der verschiedenen zur Verbesserung der Prazessionskonstante benutzten Methoden und schlieI3lich im 4. Teil dieses Abschnittes zu einer eindeutigen Stellungnahme zu der zur Diskussion gestellten Frage. Es zeigt sich, daI3 die Frage, welcher von den beiden angegebenen Prazessionskonstanten der Vorzug zu geben sei, letzten Endes keinen Sinn hat und daI3 eine s t e l l a r s t a t i s t i s c h e Verbesserung der gerade im Gebrauch befindlichen Prazessionskonstante zwecklos ist.
