Healthcare monitoring system is depending on Internet of Things (IoT) for monitoring remote patients. Medical data are needed to be transfer securely to protect the privacy of the patient data. In this research, the blockchain-based knapsack system is proposed to increase the security in the medical data in IoT. Medical Brain tumor dataset was used to analysis the performance of the proposed blockchain-based knapsack system. The simple greedy algorithm of knapsack is adopted for both encrypting and decrypting the data with less computation time. The proposed blockchain-based knapsack method is evaluated on medical data to analyze the performance. The analysis shows that the proposed blockchain-based knapsack method has less computation time and memory use compared to existing method. The proposed blockchain-based knapsack method performance is analyzed for various blocks of data. The proposed blockchain-based knapsack method requires 68.81 s to encrypt 100 blocks of data.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
