The magnetic properties of layered HoMn2O5 monocrystals were studied in the temperature interval 4.2-150 K and in magnetic fields with the induction of up to 15 T. It was established that at room temperature the crystals have orthorhombic structure and possess ferromagnetic properties. At temperatures lower than 18 K crystals undergo phase transition and become antiferromagnetics with tetragonal structure.
We have studied the thermal properties of a dense sintered YBa2Cu3O7 ceramic in the temperature interval between liquid neon and room temperature. By means of the temperature wave method we have measured the thermal di usivity D. The thermal conductivity of the same material was directly measured using a steady state longitudinal method. The speci c heat Cp was calculated utilizing the data for , D and the density of the samples. The results are discussed according to the theory of Debye and the total relaxation time .
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
