In this work, we propose an all-optical controllable double state switch using the dipole induced transparency effect applied on multilevel nanocrystal doped to photonic crystal (PC) cavity. Using the proposed structure, with applying one control field the absorbing medium converted to transparent one and switching operation is obtained and then applying the second control field changes the transparent PC cavity to opaque one again. Analytical relation for the proposed switch is presented and studied by investigation of effects of parameters on switching characteristics.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
