Fluoroelastomer (FKM)/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composites were prepared by fast evaporation mixing and traditional mechanical mixing, respectively. RGO was characterized by Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopy. The transparency of FKM/RGO compounds was characterized by UV‐Vis spectra. The effect of different processing methods on the mechanical, dynamic and electrical properties of FKM/RGO composites was investigated. The reinforcement efficiency of RGO to FKM matrix was calculated. Pristine RGO and FKM/RGO composites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that the tensile strength of FKM/RGO nanocomposites prepared by fast evaporation mixing is 3.8 MPa higher than that by traditional mechanical mixing. The electrical resistivity decreases by about an order of magnitude and the thermal stability is improved with the addition of 0.05 phr RGO. Ultra‐high reinforcement efficiency is achieved with the value of 380 and the electrical conductivity is improved because of good dispersion of RGO in FKM matrix via fast evaporation mixing. POLYM.
