Resumen Objetivo del estudio: La comunicación organizacional ha venido transformándose, poniendo a los usuarios/consumidores en el centro de la estrategia, evolución que exige una dinámica donde los stakeholders asumen una participación activa como prosumidores que generan y transforman la propia comunicación. Así, este estudio tiene como objetivo entender la idoneidad de las estrategias de comunicación emprendidas por el Centro de Arte Alcobendas y la Sala El Águila, durante el primer trimestre del 2022, para promover sus exposiciones temporales de moda. Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque: Esta investigación cualitativa y comparativa, que buscó las diferencias y coincidencias de las estrategias de ambos centros expositivos, se llevó a cabo a través de entrevistas en profundidad con los lideres de las comunicaciones de las dos instituciones, se escudriñaron las estrategias de comunicación y se analizaron las características de los equipos que trazaron y dirigieron dichas estrategias, amén de las herramientas utilizadas en cada caso. Resultados: Se concluyó que, aun cuando el modelo de comunicación transmedia que impulsa la participación de las audiencias y en donde la comunicación digital multiplataforma reviste una importancia fundamental, las instituciones culturales todavía no abordan las comunicaciones desde este modelo. Insisten en mantenerse en la fórmula tradicional de comunicación: difusión unidireccional de información, sin un monitoreo eficaz y constante de la retroalimentación y/o participación que pueden generar sus públicos. Limitaciones: Si bien la metodología analiza dos casos de centros expositivos con características distintas de espacio y envergadura, ambas dentro de la Comunidad de Madrid, se hace imperativo ampliar la muestra para encontrar un patrón que permita generar un modelo aplicable a todas las exposiciones de moda. Originalidad/Contribución: El estudio permite determinar la necesidad de un cambio de paradigma en las comunicaciones de los museos, con el propósito de generar un acercamiento más profundo y una interacción constante con los públicos de la institución.
