Las comunicaciones móviles en la actualidad juegan un papel importante en la vida cotidiana de gran parte de la humanidad, y dada su creciente popularidad, es necesario que los operadores de telefonía móvil amplíen continuamente la cobertura de sus redes. Este artículo presenta un análisis de la cobertura de un sistema de comunicaciones inalámbricas, que implementa Control Ideal de Potencia, dado que la potencia es una de las limitantes en el modo de operación y acceso a servicios por parte de los usuarios. De igual manera para aproximar la simulación a un entorno real, se implementa movilidad en el usuario, definiendo unas reglas de movilidad que permitan incluir en el trabajo la dinámica propia de este tipo de redes. La implementación del Control Ideal de Potencia evidenció que la cobertura de un sistema de comunicaciones móviles e inalámbricas se ve favorecida por esta clase de procedimientos dado que se reduce la interferencia presente en el sistema, de igual manera la inclusión de la movilidad en los usuarios permitió obtener resultados de los valores de potencia más aproximados a los empleados en la realidad por este tipo de sistemas.
