DES as a Green Solvent to Prepare 1,2-Bis-organylseleno Alkenes. Scope and Limitations. -The use of choline chloride/urea as a deep eutectic solvent (DES) in the synthesis of vinyl selenides is described. A good selectivity for (E)-1,2-bis-organylselenoalkenes (III) is observed starting from terminal alkynes (I) and diselenides (II) in the presence of NaBH 4.
