The study aims to explore perceptions of selected Filipino adults towards aging. A total of twelve adults (6 married and 6 single) whose age ranges from 40 to 59 years old were recruited as participants. The study employed a qualitative-narrative research design.Participants were interviewed in accordance with their lived experiences and were analyzed through thematic analysis. The themes emerged from analyses of raw data are as follows:Aging as a responsibility; Aging as a maturation period; Aging as a promising experience; Aging as the process of increasing autonomy; Aging as a phase of increased productivity;Aging as a positive experience; Aging as a stage of physiological; and physical decline and aging as an apprehensive process. Implications of the study are discussed.
El presente trabajo ha presentado evidencias que si existen diferencias significativas del índice de aerosol como la concentración de la columna total de ozono entre Huancayo y la Antártida, usando el satélite AURA con el sensor OMI. En el que se ha podido establecer la significancia estadística, asimismo se muestra que existe un incremento en las estaciones secas (otoño e invierno) de 0.4 a 0.8 y una disminución en la estación húmeda (verano y primavera) de 0.22 a 0.4 en la provincia de Huancayo. También se indica valores máximos de índice de aerosol el mes de setiembre de 0.98 y mínimo de 0.69 en el mes de mayo en la Antártida.En conclusión, el trabajo presenta el análisis de t-Student de 2 colas con variancias desiguales realizado; donde indica diferencias altamente significativas de las medias entre los índices de aerosol entre Huancayo y la Antártica siendo su p-value 8.3*10-10 al 5 % de nivel de significancia.
