Through a postcolonial lens, this article examines the role and importance of translation in the production and dissemination of Spanish-language literature in both Quebec and Canada, and describes how this literature calls into question some traditional concepts of translation theory. In addition, it examines the problematic insertion of Latino-Quebecois writers in Quebec’s literary field, by looking at how these translated works challenge the delimitation of contemporary Quebecois literature
