This is the fifteenth review on nonferrous metallurgical analysis and covers the two-year period from September 1972 through August 1974 as documented by Chemical Abstracts, Analytical Abstracts, and Government Reports Announcements. The following journals also were surveyed for the same period: Analytical Chemistry, Analytica Chimica Acta, The Analyst, Applied Spectroscopy, Talanta, and World Aluminum Abstracts. As in the past (R. S. Danchik, Anal. Chem., 45, 113R (1973)), this review is limited to those analytical methods of interest in the nonferrous metal industry. Many interesting methods potentially applicable to this field are not included because of space considerations. However, some general methods are included because they appear to the authors to be particularly useful or novel.Recent books related to the analysis of light metals include: "Methods of Analysis of Metallic Titanium and Titanium Tetrachloride", by Nerubashchenko et al. (137) and Tikhonov's "Analytical Chemistry of Aluminum",
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
