O Brasil está entre os países que mais consomem agrotóxicos do mundo. De 2019 a junho de 2020, 653 novos agrotóxicos foram registrados, o maior número de liberação já visto. Em 2020 foi registrado 343 novos produtos e utilizar a fauna edáfica como bioindicadores da qualidade do solo são de grande importância para entender os efeitos que esses agrotóxicos podem causar nos organismos, podendo alterar a estabilidade dos ecossistemas, pois é no solo onde a fauna edáfica mantém os processos ecológicos fundamentais. Um dos agrotóxicos utilizados nas grandes monoculturas brasileira é o herbicida ametrina, classificação toxicológica Classe III, medianamente tóxico, utilizado nas culturas de cana-de-açúcar, café e outras. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar o efeito da aplicação de diferentes doses de ametrina e avaliar o comportamento de fuga de colêmbolos da espécie Folsomia candida. Foram utilizadas 4 concentrações de ametrina mais o controle em triplicata, em latossolo vermelho. A distribuição dos indivíduos permaneceu dentro da faixa de 40 a 60% no controle duplo, no caso, 50% e a mortalidade dos colêmbolos foi inferior a 20%. A fuga dos colêmbolos ocorreu já na primeira dose de ametrina (2,8 ?l/kg de solo seco) e na dose máxima (22,2 ?l/kg de solo seco) obteve a maior porcentagem de fuga, 46,6%. Não foi encontrado um percentual de fuga maior ou igual a 80% que demonstra toxicidade, porém os organismos preferiram o solo controle na maioria das amostras, 62,71%, indicando um alerta de possível toxidade. De acordo com o teste de Fisher, não foi encontrada diferença significativa mesmo a fuga sendo observada. Mesmo não sendo demonstrado toxicidade neste estudo, são necessários mais estudos para fomentar resultados que evidenciem o impacto que esses ativos podem causar na reprodução dessa e outras espécies não-alvos, a saúde do ambiente e consequentemente a saúde humana
