Endereço para correspondência RESUMOTranstornos de ansiedade estão entre os mais comumente observados na população geral e nos serviços de atenção primária à saúde. Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar, sob a perspectiva dos pacientes, o atendimento em grupo de sala de espera oferecido em um ambulatório de transtornos de ansiedade. Participaram 61 pacientes (IM: 42,30), a maioria do sexo feminino (70,5%). Os principais resultados indicaram que a maioria dos pacientes julga a sala de espera importante, principalmente pelo fato de terem a oportunidade de aprender mais sobre a doença; a maior parte deles participa do grupo para conversar/tirar dúvidas e definiu a ansiedade como manifestação de aspectos psicológicos; em relação aos sentimentos, uma grande parte deles relatou sentir-se com esperança após participar do grupo e relata que a sala de espera foi útil por ter ajudado a esclarecer dúvidas sobre a
