Este trabalho reflete sobre as aproximações das concepções éticas de Hannah Arendt com o conceito ético grego antigo, pautado no modelo heroico exposto nas epopeias homéricas: Ilíada e Odisseia e na obra aristotélica: Ética a Nicômaco. Para isso, primeiramente se faz necessário percorrer a formulação do termo “ética”. Em seguida, compreender alguns dos valores heróicos: areté e kleos. Após isso, intui-se avaliar como esses valores passam a ser apresentados pelo filósofo Aristóteles, em sua obra: Ética a Nicômaco. Por fim, busca-se traçar aproximações entre os dois modelos anteriores apresentados e as concepções éticas de Hannah Arendt apresentadas na obra: Condição Humana.
Este trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma explanação sobre as concepções éticas de Platão de Aristóteles, abordando o que os filósofos clássicos gregos compreendiam acerca do conceito de ética e se a moralidade era inata ou demandava um processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Para isso, inicialmente serão apresentadas as definições dos termos ética e moral, bem como, suas distinções, apoiados principalmente nos textos de Cortina (2005) e Freitag (1997). Em seguida, serão realizados apontamentos sobre a teoria ética do filósofo Platão, expostas por ele, principalmente nas obras: Mênon e a República. Após isso, se buscará indicar o que o filósofo Aristóteles expôs sobre a ética e seu ensino em sua obra: Ética a Nicômaco. É na Grécia que o ideal de formação humana se inicia, naquele momento são levantadas questões sobre o que se era necessário ensinar e aprender, para que o ser humano se desenvolvesse em sua completude e se torna-se um cidadão atuante. Devido a isso, retomar o entendimento grego arcaico sobre o desenvolvimento da moralidade traz à luz a necessidade de se refletir sobre essas preocupações no sistema educacional contemporâneo.

INTRODUÇÃOO presente estudo tem como objetivo discutir o conceito de educação na Grécia Clássica mediante a reflexão sobre a importância da Ilíada e da Odisseia no processo constitutivo da cultura grega, sobretudo no que se refere ao fenômeno educativo, pois os poemas épicos homéricos são considerados as primeiras obras de literatura grega e os primeiros documentos significativos da história da Educação. Na medida em que moldavam comportamentos, constituíram-se como meio educador e, embora permeados de aspectos míticos, revelam muito da convivência social grega de então.Vale lembrar que esse trabalho fundamenta-se nos pressupostos contidos no artigo 1° da Lei das Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (1996), o qual se refere à educação como uma prática abrangente dos processos formativos que se desenvolvem na vida familiar, na convivência humana, no trabalho, nos movimentos sociais, nas organizações da sociedade civil e nas manifestações culturais. Neste sentido, a educação engloba os costumes, hábitos e valores, encontrando-se intrínseca em qualquer organização social, já que é fundamental para sua própria construção. Dentro desta perspectiva, visualizar-se-á a educação grega não como uma educação possível e apenas inserida em uma instituição, mas sim, como aquela que se desenvolve nas relações interpessoais de cada indivíduo.
