La plasticidad sináptica es un mecanismo a través del cual el sistema nervioso modifica la cantidad y/o intensidad de sus conexiones sinápticas en diferentes regiones. Este mecanismo participa en la formación de memorias, pero también es importante para potenciar la recuperación del cerebro tras algún daño.
