L’agriculture urbaine est un phénomène d’ampleur dans les villes du Sud. Guère prise en compte dans les politiques d’aménagement, elle parvient pourtant à se maintenir et à s’adapter aux contraintes urbaines. L’intégration ville-agriculture urbaine a souvent été étudiée sous l’angle politique, économique ou environnemental. Nous nous attachons ici à étudier cette intégration sous l’angle socio-spatial ; trois exemples permettent de mettre en évidence différentes figures d’intégration issues des pratiques des agriculteurs urbains : à Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), les agriculteurs établissent des relations sociales permettant de s’assurer l’accès à des ressources productives, à Metro Manila (Philippines) c’est l’appropriation des pratiques par des réseaux d’acteurs à l’échelle locale qui est gage d’une pérennité, et à Saint-Louis (Sénégal), c’est à travers des formes d’organisation initiées par les agriculteurs que ceux-ci arrivent à faire valoir leurs intérêts auprès des autorités urbaines.
