A diabetes mellitus (DM) é uma das principais doenças metabólicas e um grande problema na saúde, devido suas múltiplas complicações que influenciam diretamente a qualidade de vida e sobrevida de seus portadores. Caracterizada pela ausência da produção de insulina pelas células beta pancreáticas e/ou resistência periférica a insulina, essa síndrome possui etiologia múltipla e pode ser classificada em dois tipos: DM tipo 1 e DM tipo 2 correspondendo essa a cerca de 85 % dos casos. No que diz respeito às suas manifestações, cerca de 81% dos diabéticos apresentam lesões de pele no Brasil e as queixas mais comuns em ambos os tipos de DM são a xerodermia, prurido e infecções (cerca de 20% dos pacientes). Dentre as manifestações cutâneas mais importantes podemos encontrar: síndrome do pé diabético, necrobiose lipoídica, dermatopatia diabética, xantomas eruptivos, acantose nigricans e bolhose diabética. Sendo a síndrome do pé diabético a principal causa de mortalidade, hospitalização e diminuição da qualidade de vida dos pacientes com diabetes. Desse modo, esta revisão, propõe coletar informações e ampliar o conhecimento acerca das complicações cutâneas mais frequentes da diabetes mellitus. Nascendo assim, a necessidade de informar sobre uma das doenças mais comuns entre a população.
O efeito cinderela é a ação tensora que alguns cosméticos têm sobre a pele já envelhecida, flácida e com vincos (rugas). Estes cosméticos são a base de dimetilaminoetanol (DMAE) e tetrahydroxypropyl etilenodiamina (THPE), o primeiro traz maior tensão sobre a derme ao causar o aumento de acetilcolina no músculo, já o segundo estimula a ação dos queratinócitos e causa a sensação de pele tensionada imediatamente. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo mostrar os principais princípios ativos que proporcionam um resultado imediato, além dos benefícios a longo prazo para a pele. O estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, documental e descritiva, obtido através de revisão bibliográfica de artigos científicos e literaturas nos principais meios de pesquisa científica. Os descritores foram escolhidos através de um banco de dados facilitador (MeSH). A utilização dos ativos dimetilaminoetanol (DMAE) e da tetrahydroxypropyl etilenodiamina (THPE) de uso tópico, demonstraram além do imediato efeito de melhora na pele, uma grande satisfação por parte dos pacientes. Porém, os resultados mais significativos são notados a partir da quarta semana de utilização do produto. O uso de filtro solar é indispensável, levando em condição aplicações diárias e constantes, para prevenção e tratamento do envelhecimento cutâneo e para prevenção do câncer de pele. Dessa forma, os principais fatores a causar o envelhecimento são fatores extrínsecos e com a finalidade de retardar o processo de envelhecimento foram desenvolvidos os cosméticos com diversas propriedades. Pode-se observar que o efeito cinderela é conquistado justamente, pelo conjunto de princípios ativos que compõem a formulação de um dermocosmético, trazendo benefícios tanto cosméticos, quanto dermatológicos, uma vez que agem nas camadas mais profundas da pele.
Introdução: A Síndrome da imunodeficiência Adquirida (AIDS) é causada pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana (HIV), agente que apresenta tropismo por células do sistema imunológico. A doença possui tratamento para auxiliar na qualidade de vida dos portadores, no entanto não há cura. Nos últimos anos foi diagnosticado que a população idosa obteve um considerável aumento no número de casos, essa população se encontra mais vulnerável, tendo em vista que a maior parte não teve acesso à educação sexual, portanto não tem informação acerca da doença, sintomas e seus riscos. Objetivo: Avaliar a prevalência do HIV em população idosa no Brasil entre os anos de 2007 e 2020. Material e Métodos: Foi utilizada uma revisão integrativa usando as plataformas de dados como: PubMed, SciELO e Scholar Google no intervalo de 2007 e 2020. Resultados: Com base nos estudos analisados, nos últimos anos o crescimento da infecção do HIV em idosos foi linear, onde entres os anos de 2000 e 2015 o aumento foi de 185% de novos casos de contaminação dentre eles constatou-se que sua maior concentração está na Região Sudeste sendo de 32,6%, seguido da região Sul que corresponde a 17,7% por casos e Nordeste com 10%. Onde a maioria dos casos abrange homens com idade entre 60 a 69 anos, de cor branca, heterossexuais e com baixa escolaridade sendo esses 49,4% dessa parcela, e a cada ano o número de novos casos aumenta segundo os estudos. Conclusão: Com todas as informações coletadas, fica evidente que o índice de contaminação pelo HIV na população idosa ainda é extremamente alto. O tratamento, que é realizado pelos antivirais podem impedir o progresso da doença, bem como evitar maiores complicações e outras infecções, atenuando um problema de saúde pública.
