RESUMOA Pancreatite Aguda (PA) é uma inflamação no pâncreas, sendo o distúrbio de TGI que mais necessita de internação hospitalar. Como uma de suas complicações, a necrose pancreática causa a maior morbimortalidade, sendo necessária uma intervenção precoce e efetiva. O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar um caso de um paciente com PA atendido em um hospital geral, no qual a porção pancreática acometida pela necrose foi o corpo do pâncreas, condição mais rara entre as necroses de outras porções. Esse trabalho foi importante para ilustrar a evolução do paciente a partir da abordagem clínicoendoscópica, desfecho desse tratamento, suas vantagens e a relação da mesma com a literatura atual. Ao final inferimos que a terapia combinada com antibióticos e cirurgia minimamente invasiva endoscópica tem se mostrado uma alternativa eficaz para o tratamento de PA necrotizante com complicações.
